So much interest…so much fun!

It all began in the summer of ‘08 when our friend and garden writer/blogger, Helen Yoest (Gardening With Confidence) arranged to have James Baggett  of  Better Homes and Gardens and Virginia Weiler come and photograph one of our trough making workshops. The next thing Amelia and I knew we were up to our elbows in Portland cement, peatmoss and perlite.

So,there we were….a beastly hot  day in June…Helen taking pictures for her blog and Ginny taking pictures for  BHG and everybody offering tips on what to do,where to look and how to act as if we weren’t being photograped!

We had a great time and the ’star’ trough resides in Helen’s Haven today.

The article was referenced in the early Spring 2010  issue of country Gardens (page 24) with a link to the BHG website where you can find the step by step instructions for making your own unique hypertufa trough.

And to our delight it was also featured in the June 2010 issue of  Better Homes and Gardens.

We offer a number of workshops during the year both in hypertufa trough making and casting leaves. Our next classes are being held on June 22nd and Amelia and I are absolutely blown away by the number of people who have already signed up to participate.

Come join us for the next workshop…….They’re way too much fun!
