It is hard to believe that Beth and I have been having this Open Garden Art Show and Plant Sale for 11 years!! That’s as many years as I have had grandchildren!! And both have been a exciting addition to my life!
This year on Saturday, April 22, 2017 we will open the Spring garden for your enjoyment and will also have lots of local artists, returning and new for you to visit and support. There will be a variety of potters, jewelers, metal garden artists, mosaic artists, botanical artists, along with hypertufa troughs and concrete leaves and spheres. The artists will be spread throughout the garden so you can enjoy nature while seeing these creative pieces.
Of course we will have our huge plant sale. Many of the plants are divisions from our own gardens, so you know they will grow and thrive in your garden also. There will be native wildflowers, shrubs, groundcovers, hostas, a great variety of perennials and always a few specialty plants. Beth and I are both avid gardeners and we do enjoy sending our plants off to hew homes!!
The show hours are 9am to 4pm and the address is 4904 Hermitage Dr., Raleigh NC. It is held rain or shine, though we mightily prefer the shine stuff! There is no fee to attend this event. We hope you will come and bring a friend to help celebrate Spring and lots of new beginnings.
