Beth and I are holding Hypertufa Trough and Concrete Leaf workshops on Saturday, November 5 and Tuesday, November 8!!  Choose the day that works best for you.

The Hypertufa workshop will be 9am-noon on Saturday and on Tuesday.  Hypertufa is a relatively lightweight concrete mixture that creates a stone like appearance in your trough.  It is a great planting space for sedums, small bulbs, miniature or dwarf plants, herbs, moss, or any special plant that you have!

In the workshop you will construct a mold, mix the ingredients, form your hypertufa trough, and take it home that day.  You will have instructions for unmolding, shaping, and curing your trough.  All the materials are supplied.  You will need to wear work clothes and shoes and have a flat area in your car approx. 2′ square for carrying your trough home.

The Concrete Leaf Workshop will be 1pm-3pm on Saturday, November 5 and Tuesday, November 8.     You will use a real leaf to create a one of a kind concrete leaf to decorate your home or garden.  You will learn molding techniques, mix the ingredients, and create your own leaf to take home.  There will also be instructions for unmolding, curing, preparing and painting your leaf.  All materials are supplied.  You will need to wear work clothes and shoes and have a flat area in your car approximately 18″ square for carrying your leaf home.
